Safari Highlights:

6 Days budget safari to Masai Mara, lake Nakuru and Amboseli National park. Day 01:  Nairobi – Masai Mara  After breakfast depart from Nairobi for Maasai Mara national reserve. Depart from Nairobi and drive through the Rift Valley with a brief stop at the viewpoint to enjoy the scenery of the great escarpment on your way.  Lunch is served on arrival followed by afternoon game viewing drives through the reserve to this endless reaches of acacia-dotted grasslands studded with hazy hills where pride of Lions, Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and numerous plain animals are in abundance. Return for dinner at Sentrim mara

Day 02:  Masai Mara Full day game viewing drives at the Masai Mara with picnic lunch provided in the park. Game drives from sunrise and sun downer provides greatest moments for game viewing in these mystic plains, a time when the soft red hues of the sun will give your photographs the clarity of the actual African savannah. Morning game viewing with drive to the Mara River where you will be able to view the resident hippos and crocodiles. The Mara is the land of African legend like Lions are abundant throughout the park, as are the elephants, giraffes, gazelle species and zebra, Cheetah and leopard are also regularly seen and less commonly rhino.

Optional visit to Masai Village for a cultural tour can be arranged at extra cost of $25 per person. Hot air balloon ride also optional can be arranged at $450 per person, then proceed with your game drive.

Day 03: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru national park Morning game drive then return to the camp/lodge for breakfast. After breakfast drive to soda lake Nakuru home to the Greater, Lesser Flamingos and while pelicans. At times you may see a lion, buffalos, white rhinos  crawling on the waters edge, or if you are a bird lover you will spot different bird species. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo camp/ Lake Nakuru lodge/ Lake Nakuru Sopa lodge/ Merica hotel

Day 04: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli national park Early breakfast, then proceed to Lake Nakuru national park for morning game viewing drives. Depart Nakuru at around 12:00pm for Amboseli via Nairobi with lunch enroute. Amboseli is found around Maasai people in kajiado county and in maasai language it means place of water. This 2 days safari takes you through Southern Kenya towards the Amboseli National Park, which lies in the shadows of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. Amboseli is known for its rich wildlife, particularly its prolific elephant population. Safari will be at Amboseli National Park which is Kenya’s international biosphere reserve. The park has an endless supply of water which is filtered through thousands of meters of volcanic rock from mount Kilimanjaro. Vast herds of elephant, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala and leopards are the main attraction as well as a variety of water fowls like pelican, Egyptian goose. Mount Kilimanjaro forms the backdrop of this game sanctuary.

Day 1:  Depart from your hotel/residence or the airport and drive south through the vast Maasai country, to Amboseli national park. Lunch is served on arrival on arrival at lodge/camp. Afternoon proceed for game viewing drives to see large herds of Elephant, Giraffe, lions hyenas and many more, with Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa’s highest peak) providing a beautiful background. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp.

Day 02: Early morning game viewing drives then return to camp for breakfast. After breakfast drive back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. Dropped back to your town hotel/residence or the airport.

The Itinerary:

Nairobi National park:

Be picked from your Nairobi hotel at 06. 30hrs and proceed to Nairobi National park which is only a few kilometers from the city centre. Of the big five, only the elephant is absent. The Nairobi National Park is only 7km from Nairobi City centre. The small park (117sq. km) contains all the major animal species with the exception of the Elephant. At 10.00hrs proceed to David Sheldrick which embraces all measures that complement the conservation, preservation and protection of wildlife. The Giraffe Centre:

Lake Nakuru

Enjoy a full-day tour of Lake Nakuru National Park, home to one of the most remarkable wild bird populations in Africa. Get up close with the wildlife on a game viewing drive, and be on the lookout for the park’s amazing flamingos.

Pick up from your Nairobi hotel/residence or airport in the morning at 0700hrs. Depart Nairobi for Lake Nakuru National Park through the great rift valley arriving around 09:30hrs. Game drive until lunch time at lake Nakuru lodge.

Lake Nakuru has earned its fame as the home of the greatest bird spectacle in the world, a myriad of often more than a million pink flamingos that flock to feed at its shallow warm alkaline waters. The lake is dubbed “pink” due to the presence of millions of greater and lesser flamingos.

Located 160km and 2½ hours drive from Nairobi, the park is home to thousands of different bird species. Covering area of 188sq km Lake Nakuru is the best place in Kenya to see the highly protected black and white rhino. Among other animals found in the park includes lions, leopard, Egyptian geese, Water buck, giraffes, hyenas, buffalos, baboons, monkeys, gazelles, Thompson gazelles.

Depending on the game drive leave the park between 15:00hrs and 1600hrs to arrive back in Nairobi between 1800hrs and 19:00hrs dropped you at your hotel/residence or at the airport. Don’t miss this opportunity to get up close with some of Kenya’s most amazing birds and other wildlife.
